Cat bypass--no earplugs required!

FWIW...
...I basically have the same setup as Joey, and LOVE IT!
I used the Fabiani "European Premuffler" - www.fabspeed.com and Fabspeed's modified primary muffler, which is just a factory C2 muffler (the one in the center) with the tip cut off (the one that "U" turns around to the secondary muffler) and a Fabspeed tip welded on, perfectly in place.
My only wish is that the tip was adjustable so that when I jack my rear end by the engine, the tip doesn't come in contact with my freshly painted bumper cover!
I have a friend with the European Bypass and he bought a secondary bypass, which is the "U" shaped device that Joey is using as well...our cars sound quite similar.
The European Bypass is designed like a resonator, and while it provides little or no backpressure, the internal baffles do a decent job at muffling the sound a bit.
So in short, I believe that using the European Bypass with this combo, whether or not you use a secondary bypass or the modified primary muffler that I have, your 964 would be a bit quieter?
Who knows, it's all subjective anyway.
Good job on the upgrade Joey, you did the right thing, I voted against going the primary bypass route...which should provide more torque rather than opening up a LONGER tube after the manifolds...and then still having to retain that whacky secondary muffler.

Alex,
I'm pretty confident it's quicker but I'll get out the trusty G-Tech and report back. Last time, I was averaging 5.2's--I'll see if I can break 5!
Jeff,
Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, I think the two pipes (cat & secondary) come close to optimizing performance with the Factory exhaust system, albeit outside the law. I don't doubt that the primary is more restrictive and that removing it should yield more power. I've tested both pipes, however, and it seemed reasonably clear to me that the secondary gets you to 60 faster.
