Default Seat Belt and Air Bag Light Issue

My seat belt and airbag lights stop going out after starting the car and buckling both driver and passenger seat belts. In other words, both lights never go out. Any ideas?

I guess I should have mentioned that it is a 1990 C4 coupe.

Have it reset by your porsche dealer and that should take care of it , I had the same problem and that's what I did and no more issues .

Had that issue years ago. Cold solder joints on the clock circuit board. Plenty of posts on this, search this forum for fixes. After that, a reset and no fault to date.

It's been so long ago that I can't recall if there was another symptom also! EDIT: see below, it was the ABS sensors as the other culprit.

Don't waste your time resetting the lights until you address the root cause.

I resoldered the clock and that didn't fix the problem.
Then my mechanic swapped the ABS sensors from left to right, and cleaned the contacts.
Problem solved.
Start with the clock because it's easy, then move on to the sensors -
Don't forget to disconnect the battery first.
