don't think thats a crack--its just two sheets of cf coming together in a less than elegant way.

could be a weak point though if there isn't proper overlap of material (making it resin rich). it could also be argued that the frunk bucket would see minimal if any loading so it may not matter.

well, had some days vacation and did - for the first time - my own carbon-parts.
Rotor backing-plate was cutted down to the minimum, just to protect the ABS sensor. Worked quite well over the last year and now, i used the metal backing plate as template and did the shield by myself in carbon fiber.. Four layers were used... it`s quite stable and round about half the weight of the the metal part, i had cutted down...

some more info would be good...did you make a mould of the original part and then take it from there or just lay over the top?
