Default Best engine oil for 964?

I know this is a very touchy topic. I read other threads on the topic, but it seems the juries are still out on this hot issue. What do you think?

Any A40 approved Porsche engine oil for daily driven cars. The Mobil 1 5w50 would then be a decent choice.
For cars in hot weather or track duty a 20w50 or 15w50 - Ester based if possible. for example Motul 300V or Driven Racing

Year round I use Mobil 1 synthetic 15w50...it has the appropriate high level of zinc for our valve train. I live in Southern California

Did you read Steve Weiners posts? Go reread those. Your answers are there.

With all due respect Sir, after reading all those threads on the same question, do you really think, that asking it again will reveal a definitive answer??
As said above, listen to Steve Weiner, Jake Raby, I.e. the people "in the know"

Brad Penn, Motul, Redline, Valvoline VR1, Shell RT6...any and all of those will serve you very well indeed. There are pages and pages of opinions, conjectures, and yes, even some factual info on oil here on Rennlist !

There is only one fact that everyone will agree upon - change it often with good quality oil!

Shell Rotella T6. If you search my username you can find a couple oil analyses I posted with this oil at 15,000 mile intervals.

This is a good list, I ran Brad Penn since I could get a case for $60 from a local engine builder. Not to mention the rave reviews it received at that time.

Reading your old post also mention Delo 400 Multi-grade mixed fleet oil. Would you still prefer in this moment?

+1

I drive 5k a year and change my oil twice a year. It feels so good.
100% Brad Penn - the green oil!

To make the procedure just a little bit easier and quicker, I recently got a set of Rhino Ramps (instead of using my jack stands).
Back up on the ramps and 10 seconds later I'm draining the tanks.
