Remove the plastic guards that go over the nuts that secure the wiper arms...you got it from there.
Just pull the plastic guards off, starting at the end of the arm (the rounded end) - pop that end up, then slide them out from the "pivet rivet".
Man, I'm a poet and didn't know it! ...I'll still keep my day job though.

Dear LJ,
There is a knack to getting these things off. They do not just pull off. There are a couple of different mounting clips depending on which set of Bosch wipers you get but they work the same way. Well they do here anyway. I cannot imagine you use different ones in the states.
Pull the wiper arm off the windshield. Go to the centre of the wiper where it pivots. Look at the rear of the pivot point and you should see a plastic tag, a locking tab. Using a finger release this tab and slide the wiper out. You will see that the actual wiper arm (car side) just has a metal loop open at one end once you have the wiper section off. The centre of the wiper arm slides into this loop. Once you take a look it will become obvious.

Hi Jeff & Adrian,
I've loosen the nut under the plastic round cover, but can't get the
actual arm off. I do see the pivot point with the spring, but where is the
locking pin?
The reason I'm wanting to take them out is to tighten the arm. Lastweek
I was having a spirited freeway drive at 120mph and the passenger side
wiper swung up, which really pi**ed me off that I had to end the exciting run. Grrr..
Can anyone provide a digi picture of what needs to be done to get the wiper arm off?
Thx

With the nut off, the wiper arms just pull off...they may be corroded a bit with dirt/road debris and moisture in there, and the fact that those arms are aluminum...so it may take a bit of "finnessing" to get the arm off the shaft. ![grr](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/cussing.gif)
I have done this SEVERAL times, to all of my Porsches, the arms attach the same way on 944, 911SC, 964, 968 and 993...as for the rest??![Confused](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Adrian, you're describing a procedure to remove the blades, in which I totally agree, there are several different connectors that clip into the factory Porsche wiper arm.

Oh I see GP you are trying to get the whole assembly off. They are splined and Jeff is correct they get corroded. I would try and use a little bearing puller or similar device. Do not use a hammer.

I am beginning to have bad dreams about this...
LJ...you are in good hands here...all which has been said about me and the subject of wiper arms is true. I guess of further note if you are having difficulty in removing them would be this...
Once you remove the nut, take the pressure off the arm by pivoting the arm upward and away from the windshield. At this point, it is easy to gently rock them off...any other position feels like it may take a crowbar to remove them.
No guys...I did not try that...just an analogy
