Perhaps, someone knows what these wheels came from on this board.
These came as extras w/ a '93 C2 I just got as a Daily driver.
Fronts- 965.362.124.00
Rear- 965.362.126.01
No replys on the wheels board, or satifactory info in the archives(that I couls find).
It's been suggested from a RSA. I thought they be Turbo stuff w/ 365 Numbers but their only 7" F and 8" rears.
Thanks
Bill

The 965 part number says it all - I believe those are the C2 Turbo wheels. The widths might seem a bit small by todays standards, but that's what they came with back in the day.
Actually, I was looking for a set of those wheels last year! They were my first choice for a track wheel.

Terry, I looked on John miles site and thought I saw all the Turbo wheels wider?? But since you did some home work I guess that's what they are.
What then was on an RSA? Can anyone actually match up those numbers?
Not the most important thing in life, but curious!

964 Turbos were never delivered with 16 inch wheels.
965 is a part number series not an in series auftragsnummer series and does not automatically imply it is a Turbo part or used on the Turbo. You will find 965 parts on the 968.

This is THE board! Thanks all.
Didn't mean to confuse anyone w/ the picture. Just wanted to give all a peak! Those are the stock 16" wheels on my now-daily driver. I'd have loved to use the 17's that came in the deal, but the 16"'s have only 700 miles on them( Dunlop 5000 Sports) and I guess I'll just run around on them till there shot ( or hit a daily number!).
FWIW If anyones interested I have another set of Cup 1's( from my Track car) that I'd sell w/ the Dunlops, and use the money for tires for the 17" rims.
Cheers

For the 964 Turbo that correctly had 7" front & 9" rear as standard however i did read somewhere Porsche also did a winter wheel / tyre set which from memory had a 8" wide rear wheel.
I will need to see if i can find where i read this!

The few times I've seen those wheels in the picture above they've been on early first year 993's.

Now I'm puzzled too. I have an RSA with the C2 Turbo wheels that came on the car. They are 7 and 8X17 with 55 and 52 offsets, and they look much like those in the photo, but they are not identical. I've seen wheels like those in the photo in person and wondered what they were. Mine are also 5-spoke with the same general spoke design and arched holes. But those spokes look narrower than mine, and the arched holes look bigger. Also, the center part around the bolt holes in the photo seems to cave in just a bit, whereas mine are flat. Thus, when I stand mine up and it falls over on it's face, it's the center part that hits and gets scratched. The spoke on mine measures about 2.75" wide on the back side about one-half the way between the two end points. The spokes in the photo don't look that wide to me, but maybe that's a visual error on my part. I hope I don't have to pull a wheel off to see what the number is.

The TSB I mentioned was superseded, here are the approved/porsche sourced winter tires of which 3 are 16" versus only 1 in the the TSB I received with my car. Bill your tires look like they originated on the 944?
