Thanks guys! I wil be joining the CT chapter pretty soon...
I was an avid BMW tuner prior to this, but got tired of under engineered cars falling apart all the time.

I have to admit that there really is no substitute... Amazing!

It's essentially a rebuilt motor with lower compression, forged internals, twin garret turbos, and a monster intercooler.
The result.... Well it's a phenomenon like no other. In high boost the car yields 600hp.
When you hit the gas and the boost hits.. Well, it's like the fury of the Gods having been bottled up too long, and then suddenly released through the application of the gas pedal... It really feels unworldly.

Welcome Greg!

Any idea what kind of 0-60 times your car's capable of? How about lap times at certain tracks? Top speed? Besides internals, what sort of suspension mods have been carried out? Those ARE Big Reds, aren't they? Who did the work?

Yes, 600hp does sound other wordly!

Here is what a few unsuspecting Corvette Z06 owners may see...

Greg, as you may tell from Joey and my questions - we're hooked. Who did do the work?

The work was done by an amazing shop in New Jersey called Protosport.
The specialize in air cooled turbo Porsches.
Suspenion has been upgraded to H&R double adjustable coilovers, and turbo S sway bars. Big reds on all four corners to slow her down as well.

Here is a car up at Protosport. It's a super wide body 993 with their custom stage 4+ twin turbo kit. This car will make approx. 740HP!
Notice their custom blow off valves... This car is simply breath taking.

Yeah the 993 is nice, but what I really like about yours is the "wolf in sheeps clothing" aspect. Keeping the narrow body and having spoilers/wheels that suit the 964 makes it an extremely covetable car IMHO. Kinda like the original RUF 911 Yellow Bird.

Did you have the work done or did the Previous Owner?

The previous owner did the work, however I went there and had a few things done, as well as everything overlooked.

The car would be a total wolf in sheeps clothing except that the turbos are so loud, that any trained ear would know to back off. Even if you short shift at 3000rpms, you still hear the sssspiiishh of the wastegates!
I love it though. It really growls like an old 917!

They say the car is good for a 0-60 under 3.9, and a top speed whenever the revs run out. They said near 200mph... (not sure bout that)
