Default Early Birthday Present

On my doorstep today...new tail lights. The old ones were faded, had stress cracks, and were delaminating. Only downside is that, after installing, the center reflector looks worse by comparison. Will have to do something about that.

We are doing mikes with red tint and clear coat this weekend. He picks them up Monday. Shoot me a pm this week and I'll let you know how they look (if it's worth the hassle)...

Just wondering....
In order to prevent the back up lights from becoming pink... Do you mask them off and add clear coat to level it up to the red tint?

Haven't thought about it. But not a bad idea.

I masked off the reverse lights for a few coats, then gave them a shot of tint. Drying now, then sanding out the imperfections. Then I'll clear coat them. Will let you know the results. I'm an inexperienced rattle can painter.
