Default FD Motorsports C4 Short Shift kit

Interested in getting this, would I have have to get the RS short shift rod too?

you dont. but their golden rod is an cheaper alternative.

Does the Golden Rod work in a c4 though? I'll get one if I can fit it.

im not sure. I have c2 and installed the similar ssk. a very nice upgrade. I still need to upgrade my shift ****. the stock shift **** flex too much with the added stiffness

Its not really an alternative, as its not a short shift, just a better method of securing the long shift rod

You need both for full effect

I got a Function First. Pretty happy with it. Much better over stock.

I thought he meant the Factory RS rod. then The Golden Rod would be cheaper option to that

Yeah, on FD's site on the c4 short shift kits, it says a perfect companion with their Golden Rod, but then on the Golden rod page, says doesn't fit c4. Hence, my confusion.

Over maybe it only works if you have the SS kit installed.

The torque tube is used on the C4 for the rod link, by all accounts the C4 stock linkage is as good as the golden rod.
As to the throw, there aren't any commercial solutions that don't involve cutting the under tunnel tray, which is low enough already.
