The debate was over if the factory supplied these in clear or not. You corrected me when I stated that the ones I pictured were factory made. I have proven that the ones I pictured are in fact OE original sold by Porsche. The others clearly are not. Part number but no OE triangle.

As a community we would appreciate any help we can get to clarify these details. Please show us the proof that no market had or needed these installed? Irrespective if they were added later or not. Clearly there was a need otherwise why would Porsche sell these?

Anthony, we are going round in circles, I have told you all I know and that should be enough to explain the situation, if you dont want to believe me thats up to you, and you havent proved the ones in your picture are Porsche OE at all, I have told you what they are

Maybe you can ask the owners club or a 964 guru?

In the words of Orange Curry.......................Im out!

So heres the issue. I have objective evidence that these were in fact Porsche OE parts. I have proof they are not counterfeit and do wear the OE triangle which is only allowed on OE parts. You have just your word. Many consider me the 964 guru.

I am not trying to push you away. We always like a knowledgable person to help us. After over 20 years of researching this specific model, the owner of 5 964's and uncovering all sorts of nuances the internet has taken from my posts and used and in many cases incorrectly I am always looking to learn more. Call me a doubting Thomas but I am offering real world experience you are rejecting. I can assure you I purchased the parts through Porsche. As I recall they came as a set left and right and are marked with the part number the original Porsche Equipment markings and the packaging was from Porsche not Bosch. My parts manager friend assures me they are factory parts and he sold several sets back then. So you can maybe understand my questioning what you say.

I would love to trust you on this but would prefer to work with you and come to a rational conclusion we can be sure of. I am just asking how and why you know this and if you have some proof than we can put this to rest and another 964 mystery resolved thanks to your help.
