Hello all!

My "new" CR-1 radiio arrived today. It looks great but does not work.

The unit installed very easily. When I power up the unit, it lights up (bezel, dials, etc) however neither digits not the word "CODE" appears as one would expect in the display.

Entering the code per the manual does nothing.

Pushing the cd/tape/radio selector does nothing.

The wiring appears to be fine:

from radio to harness
Black to Pin 1 GROUND (term 15)
Red to Pin 2 RED/BLACK ignition (powered with ignition on)
Pin 3 not used
Blue to Pin 4 WHITE powered with radio on (ant booster)
Yellow to Pin 5 RED battery constant power/memory (term 30)
White/blue to Pin 6 GREEN alarm

The radio (lights only) turn on and off by pushing button in.

The code was verified with my dealership as 'good'.

Any ideas. Or is this recently purchased radio DOA!!!

Did you ever get an answer to this? I'm having the same problem.

 

The wiring as noted above is correct.

The radio was DOA.

A second unit was purchased and installed perfectly.
