Pricing Advice...
Gents,
I have enjoyed the 964 for 8 years now and have had a lot of fun learning, cleaning up, and playing with the car over that time, but think I'm ready start a new chapter. So, would like your advice on pricing, configuration, and packaging the sale - I can sell as a package or separately.
I have a lot of spares that could be installed without much issue: Stock door cards, bird armrest, front bumper, stock steering wheel, etc.
Following are the specs:
GREAT Car for Everything - street, DE, CR. It has seen more street time than track time in the last 4-5 years and is quite comfortable, but is also quite competitive on the track - it is purely the driver’s limitations.
Overall a very solid car that has been maintained very very well. Never cutting corners and addressing everything right away.
1991 C2
2 owner - I bought it in Jan 2008 @ 74k miles
Black over Black
95.5k miles w/ maintenance receipts
Engine: Top end by Porsche at 54k
Engine: reseal at same time (new wires, valve adjustment, clutch master cylinder) @ 88k - does have some weeping, but will get my shop to check it out and address any leak issues
Engine: Good leakdowns compression at the time (94-95% all around)
Engine: New oil lines to front oil coolers
Engine: Cargraphic Auxilary Oil Cooler
Transmission: Refreshed transmission & rebuilt limited slip at 88k
Transmission: RS Clutch and Flywheel at 75k
Suspension: Moton 2 way adjustable Club Sports w/ 600/800 springs
Suspension: RS Sway bars, monoballs
Brakes: Big Red (Black) Brake upgrade w/ 993 Master Cylinder & booster
Interior: Refreshed interior (new carpets and trimings) (NOT YET DONE, BUT PLANNED)
Interior: Momo Mod07 steering wheel
Exterior: RSA Rear Spoiler (MAShaw)
Exterior: Paint is showing it’s age, but looks pretty good from a distance
Safety: Safety Devices bolt in/out role cage (installed by Piper)
Stereo: CDR220 stereo, Alpine amp, new component speakers
Just Tuned up and working AC
Electric stock seats in great shape
T-Lock keyless entry
Racepak G2X ready (wired for easy install & remove)
More that I can’t think of right now…
Wheel Options: Stock 17”, BBS RS-GT 18” (x2), Fikse FM10 18”, one set of new MPSCs mounted on BBS, set of 75% used MPSCs mounted on Fikse, Conti DWs with low miles mounted on Stock and BBS.
Available: Recaro Pole Positions w/ sliders, RS Door Panels, Momo Mod07, Track brake pads, etc, etc. etc.
Available: 2007 Trailex CT-7541, Surge Brakes, Aluminum wheels, Tire Rack, Spare Tire, hand winch (repacked CV and flushed brakes 2 years ago – great condition)
Here are some pictures, but I would need to do a better set of it without the cage installed and after the refresh (new carpets and trimmings), but the iphone pics at the end give a flavor.

Three Wheelin'
I see 2 options:
1) Sell as a race car....limited market
2) Return to "street" status and sell all the race parts, wheels, etc. separately
My guess would be that the street car would sell for the same price as the race car and all the race parts/wheels would be extra revenue. Do you still have the original brakes and suspension?
I'm sure that there will be other opinions out there.

nowadays with 964, you can list the car for what it would be worth stock even though it is currently in DE trim.
If nobody gives you what you want, spend the money to put it back to stock and sell the race parts to offset your labour to return it to stock.
Looks like a nice car.
As Peter said, sunroof?

Easy. Best net return will be to unbolt the cage, throw the carpet back in and detail it.
Perfect balance of hot rod street car/DE, and if someone wants to get more serious they have all the hardware to do so.
Do not sell it as a race car, there is a lot of stuff that would need to be hacked out to make it a serious race car and it's too nice for that. You'll find yourself in that grey area that really narrows your buyers. It's easily 10:1 buyers of street vs racecar, focus on your market.
