Default B&G quick release with Momo prototipo wheel

Hi guys,
I have the Sparco 65 mm dish steering wheel for sometime, the suede starts to shine a bit, so I am thinking changing it to a leather wheel, I quite like the Momo Prototipo wheel with its 35 mm dish and was going to fit for extra security the B&G quick release 60 mm ,
Does anyone have any experience with this quick realise system ,
It seams good value for money too,

Apparently there is a slim version

I have been thinking of a quick release as well, one that would keep the horn operational. Some folks on Rennlist mentioned using the Snap-Off and a Google search led me to this one a few months back. I totally forgot about it until I saw your thread and although I don't know if that is the one they mentioned, perhaps it is worth a consideration? Revue video ci-dessous.

I fitted a quick release hub to mine for security reasons. If you've seen inside the door you'll realise these cars aren't exactly hard to break into! I just make sure the steering lock is on before I take the wheel off, pretty sure it's not going anywhere then. While it does give a bit more room under the wheel and a better track driving position the wheel is a bit higher for just cruising around especially having nothing to rest my arms on with the rs door cards. I got the sparco one, the quality is good considering I got it new off eBay for £30 but it's nothing compared to the rothsport one. Has a little bit of for and aft movement but no slop when turning.

There was a good thread on some quick release units not too long ago. If I recall correctly some of the cheaper pin/bearing units are good to stay away from as they wear use after use, and have the possibility of failing.

I don't know if it happened yet, but B&G was also going to come out with a slim-line quick release. Might be worth looking into.

I've been using the B&G item for a while now. No issues, certainly a well put together piece of kit.

I've tried some of these quick release jobbies on friend's 964's and was alarmed by the amount of forward and backward play..side to side is tight but if you pull or push one side towards you there is plenty of mevent..surely any play is not good for feel?
