Possible? Yes, if you have a very heavy duty c-clamp, tie rod end remover, or on-car stud press (last two might be available at auto parts stores that loan/rent tools). Do a search on "wheel stud press" for ideas.

If you click on the picture you can better see the splines that grab into the aluminum in the hub. Press out the old and press in the new.

Nope, they're pressed in. Simply punch them out, and then use an old lug nut with washer against the hub and tighten to seat the new studs completely. No special tools necessary, that's just hogwash.

Take care to not damage the wheel bearings trying to hammer the studs out.
(ie. think twice before taking that sledgehammer to it)

Another concern is be careful when installing the new ones. Try to align the splines with the splines on the hub. I have seen people screw this up and ruin the splines once that happens you can find yourself with a stud spinning and the hub ruined. Loads of fun trying to remove a wheel once this happens.

Anther thing you can do to keep your studs from spinning is to use Green Locktite or a little JB Weld. If you're already at the spinning part you may be able to tack weld the back of the studs.
