Default C4 Completely dead Electrically

Car ran fine 3 days ago with no show of any problems.

I then did some engine bay cleaning, heater bypass, cleaning in the frunk etc. When i came to disconnect some of the important looking stuff in the frunk i disconnected the battery and pulled it out at that time.

Just put it all back together this evening and as i put the battery connectors on i noticed a small spark which isn't uncommon showing something was under load to me. Put key in ignition..... Absolutely bog all! Dash not lighting up and nothing responsive whatsoever...

Haven't tested battery as was late - will tomorrow but was working fine 3 days ago and gave that spark on connection....

Any obvious ideas? I've gone through the fuse box in the frunk and distribution in boot but nowt obvious blown. Just thought i'd check here incase it was something hilariously obvious to Porsches.....

TIA

I'd double check that important looking stuff in the frunk you disconnected, and certainly the battery connections.

I hope you put the battery in correctly in regards to polarity....

Check the ground cable where it mounts to the chassis.

Ye of little faith! I'm a sparky by trade so what could possibly go wrong??? Haha..

Well, had a look earlier and guess what?... Battery as dead as a dodo.. Have it on charge now and will see later how it goes...

At this stage i can only presume it must have been dead - ish before i disconnected so had drained down prior to playing in the frunk. This would either be from something i have caused or from my ever helpful 4 yr old son playing in the car and possibly/probably/definitely turning things on and not turning them off... I suspect the doors were also left on latch so interior light may have been on also. Oh, and my 3 days were actually 7 so more than enough time to drain a battery from a small drain....

It's that or the battery has killed itself.....

I'll let ya know laters....

Posotive earth on these cars right? :-P

Just to update, charged the battery up and she fired up fine :-).

And guess what?.... Interior bloody lights were on! Though i don't think i can blame my son - it seems that when the frunk is open ( which it was all week) then my interior lights come on - even if the doors are shut.....

Hey ho......

Yep. Engine lid will do the same; I swapped all the interior lighting for festoon LED bulbs for a little more tolerance of pilot error.
