throttle response from idle
Ok - Here's another I have been trying to chase down. get car to operating temp. sit at idle. blip the throttle really hard - really fast. car dies, then starts to take off - this is all in neutral fyi. i only say take the foot off the throttle cuz if you didnt you'd be full throttle in neutral - and no good. but that said - the car shouldnt immediately die if given alot of gas quickly, before then coming to life.
outside that - the car runs well and normal. but I have been trying to track down this reticence the motor has to respond to immediate full throttle.
WoT switch is not broken, btw.
vacuum leak?
AFM?
i have one code as checked on the PDT999 - 23 oxygen sensor, outside min range.
did a system adaptation. no help at all.
Plugs, wires, rotors, dist caps, are all fairly new - within the past year. Coils are somewhat new. Have never changed the ignition control modules.
thoughts?
I found this - and will try it as soon as I can get the thing out of the car...

This is worth a read if you havent already: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...t-low-rpm.html
Steve w had some good points in there. And most of the things he pointed out, are either new in my car or have been checked out. I should go double check the coils again, since coil failures are so common. And I will open the afm in the coming weeks and take a look at that...refurb it...and see if that makes a difference.
I'm wondering if it could be a fuel pressure issue? But then the car would run poorly all the time...so maybe not. I'm leaning toward vacuum or afm.
Whatever you do, don't adjust the spring tension--at least not without marking the original location--although it should not require adjustment anyway. If you really want it done right, send the whole unit off the Bavarian Restorations in San Pablo.
