Hi guys,

After doing some reading in the "search" mode I suspect that I might need to replace the accelerometer(s) situated in the cente tunnel.

Can someone tell me what the costs of those things are ? Is it a simple "swap out & in " procedure ?

Unfortunately the accelerometers are not cheap. I believe they are in the $400 range (each)

Actually switching them out is easy though - just remove the centre console and carpeted centre section under the dash - you simply un-screw the accelerometers at the base

You might want to try cleaning them out first.... This approach worked for me - you can remove the top cap. In side you will need to clean metal filings from the magnets - it wil be obvious when you get in there - I used WD40 and cotton buds !!! I believe others have used compressed air !!!

I might to buy (a) new one(s). as Ive experienced some probs with the PDAS - warning light which comes on after 10 minutes while driving.

But gonna renew my brake fluid first and see what happens.

Actually how do you determine if the accelerometer is fried ?
