This is my third Porsche '71 T , '78 SC and '90 C2 and they all had noisy suspensions. Would the 964 with H&R Coilovers quiet things down or am I better off with Bilstiens and H&R Sport Springs? Replaced my tires (Perelli P-700) with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 and they made a noticeable improvement in ride and noise reduction but still have the noise on rough surfaces from the suspension. Will the HD Bilstiens match up with the H&R Sport springs?? or do I just live with the crash bang. The Porsche has 42,000 miles on the clock I checked out front and rear and everything is tight and snug. I would appreciate suggestions.

Well you are running at Porsche's recommended pressures, but a lot of people run much less than 44 at the rear with no apparent ill effects and an improvement in the ride.
Just for info - it's interesting that, for 17" wheels, the recommended pressures are 36 all round, though personally, I like to run my rears at 40psi.
You might want to try dropping that rear pressure a little. A friend of mine runs his rears (16") at 38psi. Handling and tyre wear seem OK.
