Glove box light switch
Okay so a search of these forums hasn't brought up this issue, What is the secret Monkey Trick you need to know to reinstall the glove box and have the switch to turn on the light work?
It looks like you should do it before you install he glove box but then it won't slide into place, if you put the glove box in first you can't reach the connectors. I'm totally baffled.
thank you,

the glove box should be assemble while the whole lower desk is removed ...
so that you have full access to the connector .
easy to remove .. 2 nut each end ( need to remove black plastic triangular parts before ) , 2 nuts behind the ashtray and small nuts "from behind" near the lower part of the CCU and Autoradio ... ( need removal CCU & autoradio of course )

Interesting. That is not how I removed the glove box, I took the door off, 3 gold coloured Phillips screws on the bottom, then I removed the inner black plastic liner with 4 Phillips screws. Popped out the light and undid the spade connectors and then 10mm to un screw the switch. I did not remove the ash tray or the plastic on the side.
yes you can remove "only" the glove box ... but to replug the light switch you doesn't have enough room ... even with smal fingers ..
just need to remove the whole desk WITH the glove box still attach ....
easy to do, the only tricky part is the removal of the CCU ( blaupunkt tool needed or 4 rivet do the job .. ) and not to loose the small nuts
there is another plug under the right part of the dash ( near the OBD diag plug ) , to give the 12V power to the glove box light and for the ashtray light .
