Default Electric problem

Hi everyone Im having this issue with my 94 c4 when im driving and shifting gear and release the clutch the radio and radar go off and turn on again and other time is worst the car stalls while driving. I change voltage regulator and put some contact cleaner in the fuse box and now is worst the fan blower of the a/c system in level 3 start to change the velocity crazy and the antilock light turn on and the car turns off, for me it sound like a problem with alternator but it is charging so I don't know. What do you people think?

Kindest Regards.

First place to check is the battery connectors. Remove, clean and re-tighten. Be very carefull not to ground the positive terminal!

Do you have a multimeter? If you see something near 13.8V at the battery at idle, then the alternator is fine.

What is the voltage with the engine idling? As Nick stated above, it should be 13.8v.

No. 13.2v is low. Your alternator is not charging much at that voltage. Does the voltage improve if you run the engine at 2000 rpm? One last question, do you have the stock belt/pulleys or the RS belt configuration?

There are two main ground straps. One at the battery and the other between the starter and the bottom of the car. They are a common cause for electrical issues now days and are replaced by many as a precaution anyway.

If you have eliminated bad grounds, coils have been found to cause many different electrical problems.
They can test O.k, but still have internal faults. If they are original, you may want to change them.
