Internals do get replaced, not sure all that's in there but 993 Turbo internals I believe do feature. it also has a Ruf 6 speed box with Ruf short shift. Seems like a big turbo, but pulls great right from the get go, huge huge torque. It also will pull away amazingly well in 6th from as low as 40 mph. I can't praise it enough, just bloody love it. Yep I know that sounds sad, but hey ho. :-)

To say I'm mega pleased with it would be a huge understatement.
It is absolutely immense. And I have driven some really special 911s.

And obviously the narrow body is just perfect for some of our tighter roads up here :-)
Thanks for the reply and extra pics - looks great and must be mental fast, do you have any vids?

Does the engine lid grille only have an opening around where the actual intercooler seal sits or is the full area open?

Be great to see the car in the flesh one day, you must let us know if you plan on any trips south with it.

No video that I would post on the net. HaHa

Full area of the engine lid is open from memory.

Looking to come down to the RS day at Oulton Park in March, and then
Head over to a Angelsey the day after, haven't got a space booked at Oulton as I was too slow on deciding to go.

I missed the 2015 Oulton RS day but was there this year and saw your car! I hung around for a bit to see if you were close by but you didnt appear so missed the chance for a chat

Odd that we all recognise each others cars but have no idea what the nut behind the wheel looks like!

Great car, RCT Evo. Surprised that we don't see a lot of guys going the turbo route when doing a full rebuild. Mostly see 3.8 builds, not turbos.

I also drove Alois' car. It was a great thing though as yet I've not bought one myself! The new watercooled 964 based cars look pretty cool though and should be pretty special with all the extra poke they have. The only thing I did think about the RCT is that the engine was not really pokey enough at this level. I mean 400 plus bhp is not bad but for RUF i would expect more like the 5-600 the new models have..

The article I wrote for my blog.. http://www.number27.net/ruf-article.php

I do have a 964 Turbo S tail as fitted on Alois own car, just can't decide if I should fit it or not.
Very nice is it Amazon green or midnight blue hard to tell from the pictures. Also is the tail a factory Porsche turbo S tail or did he have them commissioned and built for himself? The factroy tails have no part number but a small resin blob on the inside with the Porsche OE marking in a triangle.

I think the turbo S tail is one of the best used.
