No problem - sorry I didn't spot it was a separate part in the first place!

Oh and it's a bit of a pig to get on!

LOL...actually it should have been a clue something wasnt quite right when the air duct went right on without a struggle! Even the clamp on the A/C hoses (which has a fairly high potential for "faff") bolted right back without so much as a grumble or sigh!!

John,
Do you have a picture of how that part fits on your car? The part # you gave (964.211.348.01) is shown (PET) as the seal for the output tube from that blower motor, where it goes into the engine tin. I'm also interested in the seal between the alternator/fan "cover", and the blower motor input, since I can't get it lined up either......
Thanks,
-Eric

Eric,

That part number was for the blower input seal. (At least it was meant to be! I'll check).

Here are pictures of both seals (if they're not on this post when you read it, they will be in a few minutes!) I'll check the part numbers, too.

The part number for the output seal (lower picture) is 964.211.348.01 (rubber seal) and the clip which holds it (comes as a pack of 12) is 999.512.505.02 (clip).

Strangely, I can't now seem to find the other seal, the one Howard wants! Maybe I misread it last night. Anyway - I must go and get some breakfast! Can anyone else help find that input seal number? If not, I'll look again later.

I've also looked and had no luck finding it. If there is a part # on the seal/rubber grommet than it is located in the interior of the seal.

Just noticed, looking at my picture of the 'top' seal - the damn thing has jumped out of position!

Sorry, Howard, I can't seem to find a part number for it.

The reason we can't find a part number is because there is no other part. The seal is part of #964.106.403.02 (air duct). The hot air socket (#964.211.323.03) pops inside of the air duct.

In John B's picture the air duct & socket look to only be partially attached, the air duct should completely surround the socket.

Thanks Jason - that is in fact how I currently have it - there are 2 ridges or bumps along the inside of the air duct and I have the lip of the blower resting inside the first one of these. Still feels like it should really be more secure though!!!
