Here's my 2 cents FWIW.

I've had brake judder in the past and cured it by putting Hawk blues in for a few miles. As Kai says above the rotors clean up very fast with the blues. I then put in my preferred pads (blues are too harsh for regular use) and the judder was gone.

Last year I upgraded to 993 calipers and fitted new rotors and pads (Brembo HP2000). I ran all year, including half a dozen trackdays, with zero problems. A couple of weeks ago I fitted new pads (Brembo HP2000 again) because the old ones are worn down to their limit of use. First trackday out last week...big style judder! Unfortunately, I don't have Hawk blues in 993 size so I can't try the same trick to try and clean up the rotors. Buying a set of blues just to clean the rotors would cost the same (if not more) than a pair of rotors. So I'm probably going to replace the rotors and accept that old rotors won't work with new pads even if it's the same compound.

Steve,
I was getting a hell of a lot of judder at Oulton (thought it was just me) spirtied drive home and no judder whatsoever.... you don't think it was the track surface in the braking zones???

No judder on the way home for me either. The judder is only detectable with hot brakes on track. It's unlikely to be anything to do with the Oulton track - I don't get judder there when the brakes are good. Also Ian and Kev weren't getting judder in their 964RSs.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the wobble has gotten better after some hard driving. I am definitely going to try bedding the pads again, and maybe that will solve this issue for me.

Haha, no it was actually worse, but since then has gotten at least a little better.

Thread update:

One of the front rotors was warped, but couldn't be turned due to the cross drilling. Replaced with zimmerman cross drilled from pelican and all is good. The inner and outer faces wobbling together proved it was warped, and not just pad deposits:
