I use brad penn now. But I can say this now that it's cold. My car likes me when it hasn't been sitting for more than a day or two, and hates me after that, for the first minute or so...20w50 is not the best in freezing temps at startup, but the car is happy when warm.

I'll keep using brad penn until someone that regularly rebuilds 911 motors tells me he has a better alternative.

In the US, the government mandated out of motor oil zinc and phosphorus, which are important in older cars in any part of the motor where you have two flat metal surfaces rubbing against each other under pressure. Tappets against cam lobes are a good example. Mobil 1 today is not Mobil 1 from 15 years ago. They are different oils with different formulation - in the US - no clue what oils in europe are like in terms of formulation. So my advice, go to a shop near you that rebuilds and specializes in old performance cars, 911s and other, and ask them about oils that are good to use with flat tappet motors...and do want they say. As to weight, I am happy with 20w50. But happier with 20w50 when temps are above freezing outside. I've used lighter oils. The car seems happier on a heavier weight oil when it's up to temp...

I currently run Mobil 10/40 year round, but now inde recommends BP 15/50 in summer for the odd DE at the track.

^^^^^^ That's why I am giving the Joe Gibbs DT50 15w50 a try. I only drive my car from April to November where the temps are in the 60 - 85 degree range.
