Default I am back!

Had a little vacation for reckless driving charge due to my accident last year. All is good now. Lesson learned. I was just looking at the girls in the garage. I really missed them..

What! No Rennlist in the clink? Were you in solitary confinement?

I guess with these cars there is a fine line, depending on your local traffic laws, between spirited and reckless driving. Good to hear your back in the 964 saddle again.

Mega story to tell. It happened in 2013. I posted pics a long time ago. I can post more by popular demand. As most of you know the engine etc lives on in my targa. And no Rennlist in the clink. In fact, you don't even want to mention "Porsche" in the can. Everyone thinks you are rich. Not a good idea. I started the 911's the other day after 2 mo and not a puff of smoke from the targa with the wreck motor. Started like it was running a few hrs before. I had my license the whole time until trial, now they took it for 10 months. I am working on getting a "hardship" license. Ha. It is really hard to go in the garage knowing you can't drive them. If a go on the hardship license, then I will have someone go with me to PCA driving events and then I can drive there legally...

I can relate they took mine for 18 months. The hard part was not driving it was the backseat driving Drove everybody around me nuts. My advice. Sit still. Close your mouth. And bring a roll of duct tape. It's hard but 10 months will pass by fast. Ps don't wait till it's over and figure it's coming back. Do your research. After all is said and done you will probably have to get a certification that your sentence has been fulfilled. And depending on your area jump thru a number of hoops including sitting in front of a transport safety board. You will need to reapply for your liscence and in most states and all provinces have to retake your drivers license. Court is the easy / hard part. Beuracratic garbage to be able to drive again. Is the tough part. And be prepared. The transport board may place a probation period on your license of a year or two. No tickets or they will call for a review and pull it again. I wish I had better news but. Please do your homework or 10 could easily turn into 12 or more. I know

I am well versed in the B.S. MA puts you through. Once the 10 months goes by it is pretty straight forward. I don't have a great hope of a hardship License. This could turn into a interesting thread with stories of people's Legal issues surrounding driving. Bring them on!

10 months is a perfect amount of time to make a few nice mods? Heck, I feel I have been cleaning my engine bay for 10 months

Hmmmm.... this sounds pretty grimm.

In my case I dodged the bullet by a month or two.

The story is as follows: me in the 997 at that time. Right outside one of the Royal palaces here. 10 at night, nobody on the road and a buddy in the passenger seat. A 50mph road. He says "The red light cameras also flash you on speed". My response: "BS... sped through them before watch this". As I downshift from 6th to 3rd and bury my right foot in the carpet.

Flash!

"Ooops" as 101mph is on the display.

This was in 2009 and the fine is 50 USD. Sentence has been issued, but haven't been presented with the payment order to date.

If this had happened two months later, I'd have to spend some time in court if I'm lucky... a few days in the can if I'm unlucky and a confiscated car if you're very unlucky.

Moral of the story, never take your Porsche to the court... drive the beater.

And welcome back greg!

The only BS here is the state of MA allowing drivers withmultiple DUI offenses to keep their licenses. Second offense should be automatic life ban. Don't like it? Too fukking bad.
