Default Help reqd for c2 ABS problem

Hi, just picked up a slightly unloved C2 manual. Car needs a little work with paint, interior and also feels a little lazy on start and exceleration. Has been sitting a while with little miles over years, has blow at heat exchanger, needs bumper brackets and oil tube replaced. Oil pressure is good and drives quite tight so aware in progress.
However, the ABS light is on, speedo, heater unit, manual spoiler control, rear spoiler and central locking not functioning.
Garage suggested a module under dash controls all of these and has been diagnosed as issue.
Part is approx £300 from ops but thought I would ask if anyone has had same issues, does this diagnosis seem correct or any other guidance for a fix would be greatly appreciated?
Glad to be in 964 coupe ownership again

Can't imagine what that box is that the garage is reffering too. Each of those systems has their own module. Some are connected to the central informer but that only displays issues/faults and won't prevent the operation of those systems. What is the partno they've given you?

Have you checked/switched out any of the relays?
That is where I would start.
Next, checking the sensors.

Use diagnostic tool or check:
relays
fuses
electric connectors conections to modules
find a friend with C2 and replace abs module

I had the same problem, I had to replace 1 fuse for the abs and all problems were solved :-)

After reading various forum posts think I will check the relays, clean all connections and fit a new battery and then see what happens! Car has sat for an age and has got quite damp so let's hope I get lucky?
Thanks

Hi Ray,
definately check you have a good battery first. A lot of electrical faults lead back to low or faulty battery. Get yourself a diagnostic tool it helps a lot. As suggested check the fuses in the front compartment.

Raymond, for info, the spoiler control unit on my 1990 C2 is under the driver's seat (RHD car). It would also be worth checking that drive gear is in place on the spoiler. Mine stopped working once because it had dropped off! Hence why it didn't work automatically or off the switch.

I've already mentioned checking the ABS module plug and ABS relay on the 911UK thread. Both Laurence and myself had the problem of the ABS light coming on due to a badly seated plug. Also check the lead that goes from the ABS module to he positive terminal of the battery for corrosion.

A couple of months ago this happened on my '91 C2. After research it turned out to be the ABS relay in the fuse box in the trunk. Part number 928-615-124-03-M504 . After I replaced it, all has been well since.

Most likely the ABS fuse from over voltage protection. I have spare ABS relay as I had same problem when a battery died at KH and assumed it was relay.

The speedo and spoiler work off gearbox sensor in 1990 cars. Later models use ABS sensor for these.
