Technically cars is perfect
This car was sold by Thomas Schmitz to a USA client in 2007 and has now become available again. Car is located near New York. This is the EU Cup version. Not the US Cup version
Many many more pictures, copies of invoices and history on request available.
Was this Ron S's car? Does it still retain the original motor? Probably not, right? If this is the car I am thinking of, I came close to purchasing it 4 years ago from Ron in NY. If that price holds, I wish I had :-) GLWS
Unfortunately no wagenpass anymore. I'm working on getting the history complete as we speak.
Car came to the US with an engine updated to 3.8 liter. Prior owner wanted it to be completely stock and original so it has been rebuild back to 3.6 Cup spec. This was done by Dan Jacobs. Have an invoice for more then 20.000US$ of the 3.6 rebuild.
@WTDoom: PM me your email address if you are interested in the car and i'll send you a ton more info.
OK, thanks for the answer. So with the information you shared related to the engine, the original engine is no longer with the car? I'm sure the build was amazing, but as you know, original engine and number make a difference.
The car has a 3.6 liter Cup engine. It's just not matching number.
As with many Cup cars, the engine must have been replaced when it was racing for the podium in the 90's.
Today I received a Porsche 911 history book from a biz partner and in the book there is a 964 cup car with exactly those rims. They look really good...any idea of who makes them? or a light weight version?
