Hey guys.
I am currently doing a reseal (and other things) job on my C4.
After my first time valve adjustment, i fired up my baby and it sounded like this.
Other items i've changed:
Spark plugs, plug wires, coils, distributor caps and rotors, and dropped the exhaust.
Is this a valve ticking noise, or an exhaust leak?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow. That's ticky. It's so inconsistent...give Steve Weiner a call and get his opinion before running it again. If it's a broken valve spring you may not want to be running it.
Good luck. I hope it's just an exhaust leak, but too hard to tell from the video.

Yes, this sound is coming from exhaust.
Use Holz Firegum for tightening couplings by between cat and primary muffler and between primary and secondary muffler.

Sounds like something rolling around in the fan. It sure sounds like something loose, not consistent enough to be a broken spring. Id have it transported to a shop for expert guidance. Good luck!
