Didn't see this posted anywhere and I am wondering how I remove the middle part of the dash (the part around the key, radio and a/c controls). I've already removed the top and bottom parts of the dash.
I replaced mine. Removed radio and HVAC unit, the accessory switches (fog and rear defrost) unscrew - both the actual switches and the surrounds. There is a trick to the cig lighter, believe the socket twist in one direction to allow removal.
The center dish trim itself is glued to the metal frame. Freeing it up with a knife is a good start.
Mine was damaged so I didn't have to be to careful when removing. Installing the new one was straight-forward however I did take the steering wheel off for a bit more access.
Glad to further comment. (I have a second center dash trim available by the way.)
