After owning my 964 for just over a year and just this weekend finished a full glass out re-spray, i thought it about time to introduce myself properly to the Rennlist community.
my 964 is a guards red C4 with 183,000 miles on the original non-rebuilt engine. In the past year i've done some of the simple things myself, but got the pros to fit a new clutch.
As i'm sure were are all to well aware (with so many great build threads) the urge to put my own stamp onto the car got to much. So as the small rust areas around the rear screen and an ever growing area behind the shark fine got to much for me to look at, the car was booked in for a full glass out respray at the end of august.
so this it what i started with. a totally standard C4 on original suspension with flag mirrors.

this is the extent of the repairs that were undertaken

i always thought that, as it stood in its standard form, it did not match the sound of the glorious air cooled engine. So the suspension had to be lowered and the wheels were destined to be colour changed after a visit to opc Belfast. they had a new 991 in guards red with wheels finished in Satin Platinum and i knew the 964, lowered with the twists finished in this colour would provided the total package that i was looking for.
So my 964 has been treated to a full glass out respray with all rust areas addressed, new rear lights and central reflector, aero mirrors replaced the flags, Bilstien B6 suspension coupled with H&R 964 turbo springs, wheels refinished in Porsche Satin Platinum.
and this is what i have ended up with....

i'm happy with the end results (although had some issues with the body shop along the way) and it's just a pity winter has started to set in so drives out will be greatly restricted until the spring.
regards
Michael

Wow, lots of work accomplished during your first year of ownership. Your car looks fantastic now!
I love the way GR looks in the last picture.
