Congrats on joining the aircooled world with one fine piece of kit.
It's probably the first one that will scare you every now and then, looking at your other platforms... but the satisfaction of those truly great moments where you get it all just right is something else.
Drive it, enjoy it... as much as you can.

Thanks Guys,
I had a local shop do the modification for the oval bushing for the Shifter.
Here are some progress pics. The glue took basically all week to get off. I was pleasantly surprised to see no real corrosion anywhere the sound deadening. The rear seat foam buckets were a bit moist. Cleaned out the area and prepped it for a bit of a seal paint and seal before I put int he new sound deadening and new carpets/ seats.
Even had some time to work on those faded taillights.

What product/process did you use to remove the glue from the floors without removing the paint? I am going to be helping a friend with this soon, and don't want to use too harsh a chemical...
Looks nice btw. Will you recover the doors and sills in black to go with the seats?

Yea i have new black door cards as well, basically a completely new black interior. In hindsight I kinda wished I had stuck with the original interior colour.
As for the glue I used my recently retired father. He has been at it with a scrapper for days. It really does just take a lot of patience. He started to try a bit of goo gone and something else. I'll snap a pic of the product.

I found two identical write ups on it on this forum. Both bought VHT red tint and clear cloat plus 2000 grit wet sand paper.
Sand first then tape off then spray 2-3 coats, then clear coats then sand again. Its a huge difference from the pink and it hides the cracks fairly well. nice alternative to spending $900 on a new set.

Brings that red right back.
My lights are currently looking pink. So they are on my to do list.
You're gonna love the Prototipo you have in the pics. I just put a Momo Mod07 in. Love it. Feels better, looks better.

Naw, i had both side by side and definitely liked the prototipto better. Sold the mod7. I think the guy who bought the mod7 said he wished he bought the Prototipto too!
I think you will want a one inch spacer to bring it closer to you. Then you will have best of both worlds!
