Default black seats with red piping

Just a quick question... I thought I saw someone had a 964 with black seats that had red piping. In fact, I believe I've seen this several times.

Can someone please tell me if this was a factory thing - or just a (semi) popular option when redoing the interior?

I guess it's a personal thing - but I really like it.

Yeah mine had it from the factory, but at some point it was dyed black, the dye is slowly wearing off and the red is showing through.

I also like the red piping so if I ever get mine refurbished I'll revert to red I think.

Mine also has the black/red interior. Think it looks good, but not a huge fan so would be tempted to get it trimmed black if/when I get the front seats retrimmed. Sorry not the best pic, but only one I have that shows red seat trim - previous owner fitted the matching mats.

Colour piping was a factory option. Mine are Linen with a guards red stripe to match the paint. Loads of options out there

Hi Haves 1979,

It's all a matter of personal taste but first I'd be tempted to change the mats to plain black and I think you will find the seats look a whole lot better, cheaper too.

Cheers,
Paul

They are on the 'things to do' list but seem to keep getting over looked for other bits! Will get them swapped sooner or later..

My car has these seats also. They are heated as well.

How about red deviated stitching on the seats and door cards to go
along with the piping? All Porsche exclusive options. I really like it and have not seen another.
