I have a small male connector in roughly the same place, discovered it this weekend while cleaning the engine. I don't know if we're talking the same item here.

My car has foglights but no cruise.

Thanks to all for answering back. I was taking my distributor out to rebuild it, and found the wire peeking out at me. I was afraid that I unplugged it while removing the air blower. However, did not find any other mating part.
