Not a 4 seater sorry.
As a 4 seater a w124 or w208 mercedes convertible (in 6 cylinders).
If no open top needed: Porsche 928, Ferrari 456 (check for the valve guides bill first...), Aston DB7, Maserati 4200
If no big bills needed: Merc 560 SEC or w140 CL420/500 (those are SO ugly that they become a stylish statement of 'see-how-I-care')

E46 M3... just bought one and very impressed. Though I have to say next to the 964 it feels quite characterless.
I have a standard car but I would not go for the CSL which is overvalued.. you could have a CS for much less and hardly feel the difference. Plus you can find a CS as a manual while CSLs only came with the SMG gearbox

And I do not have one so I'm not flying the flag for that reason. Read any of the tests from the day on the CS. Unless you're track focused the CS is a great buy and better on the road than the CSL.
