Thanks Addison, I'm now really very optimistic about the future of my interior after reading your posts! BTW, did you take any pictures?

I wish I had but soon after I completed the work, I bought a 993 C4S and sold the 964 cab. However, it did transform a tired looking interior to a very clean one.

I hate to beat this thread to death, but......

I went to worldUpholstery.com and checked out their approved installers list - I found some local people with a website and the pictures look fantastic! (Of course, now I'm starting to get carried away thinking about everything I can have replced!!!)

Has anyone had any experience with using kits from Worldupholstery that have been pro or self installed? Thanks!

Kahdmus,

A proper reupholstery job should include replacement of tired cushion/sponge material not just the surface cover. Makes a big diffrence in comfort and overall feel of the seat once done....unless you like the soft soggy feel of tired cushions (I have a friend that does). I had my interior fully refurbished recently and the new cushions/sponge makes long distance driving no longer a pain in the back.

Good Luck

Good advice Pzull! Incidentally, where did you get the parts? Did you order parts separate from Labor? Also, could I politely inquire as to the ballpark cost associated with your refurbishment? Any pics?

Thanks!

No I brought it to an upholsterer that sewed all the leather from raw uncut hide and cut the cushions from blocks of sponge of varying hardness. He's really good and I have known him from my early days of restoring classic/vintage cars.

It cost me in the region of US$2500-3000 including carpets and full leather trim on doors, seats, gear stock, handbrake, console, floormats, etc.

If you shipped your car to Singapore I could get it done for you

Here are some pics. Scroll through the album its somewhere in there

Thanks PZULL!! Wow - I drooled over those pictures! If my car had that interior it would swear it had died and gone to Porsche heaven! My 964 is also Midnight blue BTW!
