Default Lake Huron Drive

Took my 964 on a 350 mile drive along Lake Huron. Parts of the drive are boring but about 100 miles are along Lake Huron, which makes it worth taking.

A few pics from the trip. All the wind mills seemed like a fitting place to take a picture of my air cooled car. A couple of nice BMW bikes belonging to some guys that were doing the same drive.

I'm ready for a few more interior updates. New Recaro LS seats going in shortly. The burgundy carpet that remains on the door pockets and at center will be leather or grey wool, not sure yet. A shift boot cover is going in soon as well.

After the radio delete, I needed the back panel recovered and I went with solid basket weave in burgundy. I prefer the clean look. Planning to do the door cards to cover the speaker holes as well. Might opt for a grey wool on the front section. or perhaps do an RS door card in black basket weave leather, which will match my Recaros.

Really like my Fuchs and I put a coat on the hubs to clean things up a bit.

New tail lights a few bits here and there are going on in the coming month or so. Just felt like posting a few updates and pics.

Cooler weather in MI is making for some great driving! Especially without A/C!

Thx! 17 in fuchs. I wanted the silvers, but only black was available. I'm happy with the blacks now.

Jealous of your drive! You kept it on the road the whole time?

I did! It was nice to let the engine stretch a bit on the highway at good speed. My typical drive might be only a few miles or a 30 to 50 mile round trip. That said, a nice 350 mile trip was a nice change up. Hopefully a few more long drives are possible this Autumn.

Can wait to get my PSS10s on.

Long drives are great for evaporating water from the oil system, after lots of short drives. That's my excuse anyway.
Thanks for taking us along for the drive!

Looks like a great drive in a great car... I think the Black Fuchs suit the white perfectly.

I know the feeling.

It's going to look great on the new suspension!

That's a great drive along 25. I did it a few years ago and then hit Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville for the weekend. Awesome pictures
