It has been some time, now i'm back to give my 964 some love.
It was time for a valve check service, so i dropped the engine for the service and to do some cleaning.
It has done almost 100000 km since the rebuild and i wanted to see what i got.
It all looks fine just needs some cleaning.
So i ordered some parts i needed and some i wanted for an upgrade.
And i wanted to get rid of the ugly rear wiper, but i did not want a
cheap looking ugly plug in the screen .
So i got myself an RS screen from Cult Werk.
I guess i am busy in the workshop the next few weeks.

I see you have a new seal between the front bumper and frunk. I just replaced mine. I found dropping th bumber easy enough. However, the two tab that fits on the slots of the seal can be a PITA to fit. I bought a Porsche factory seal so hoped the fitment would be good. It is but takes some patience and effort to get there. Hopefully, your seal will be easier

Beautiful build so far! You're way more dedicated then me, I'm not even thinking about pulling the engine for the valve adjustment
And your winter set up looks just like my summer set up, lol

just getting into the game myself and planning a full refresh/rebuild.
how difficult are the polish caliper to maintain. as someone else asked, did you cleat coat them to protect the finish? i love the look but must be a pita to keep clean and shiny if it's just bare metal

I got the car back on the road and can enjoy driving it again.
Cleaned, beadblasted and painted all tin and alloy parts.
Made my own "Ronline" reinforced engine carrier.
Took off the rear suspension arms.
Cleaned and beadblasted them and put the poly bushes in.
Got the inlet polished.
Put all the fresh parts on the engine, and also a blower bypass.
After the first test drive the oillines started sweating a lot so had to get some new ones.
Also put in the rs rear screen, Rennline top mounts and got myself a new stearing wheel.
Now ready to go for this summer.

Be careful with the poly bushings they have a tendency to get dirt in them and then bind.
Nice polish work on both the calipers and inlet looks professionally done. What are you doing to keep the shine? That was a lot of work would hate to see it turn milky instead of shinny.

I love the way you are going through the car, getting it into top shape. It's so nice to be able to pull the engine, do a service, paint and put new seals on. Now you should be good to go for a long time.
Excellent touches all around.

Giles i did not make it to the See
And i still have the body and some other parts of the Bambus
Maintaining the calipers is no problem as they are alloy but the magnesium is a lot more work. It will turn milky a lot faster.
I will find out this year if i keep it polished or paint it next year.
Putting in the bumper seal was an easy half hour job.
