Default I bunked off work...

...to go for a drive.

It's not even a particularly nice day. I just can't bear it any longer. I need to listen, smell and feel my car while driving. It's an urge I just can't deny today. I'm a freelancer and doesn't make any economic sense, but since when did these have anything to do with non-emotional sense anyway?

There's something extravagantly indulgent about driving on an open road simply for pleasure when you should be working.

Its good for the soul.

I always find late at night or early mornings are the only time you get close to open roads.

If I bunked off at lunchtime then I'd just be pulling my hair out trundling along with all the biddies, lorries and mums clogging up the roads

Fortunately its only a short 15 minute drive to get out of the traffic for me. I wouldn't bother either if I had to deal with it for longer than that.
