Default Momo spacer advice

I am "upgrading" my steering wheel. My friend said it looks like a buick steering wheel.
I bought a mod 07 , but i think i changed my mind and am going to get the Prototipto.
I think i want it a little closer to me. What sizes are available? Any suggestions?

I have the Mod 07 and bought it because it is closer to me than other styles. Are you sure a prototipo is closer? I that it was less dished.

John,
No, it is flat compared to the dish (2") of the mod 07. I changed my mind and think i like the look of the Prototipto better. Now i am wondering what size adaptor to use to put it in a similar place as the mod 7.

Everyone seems to like the position of the Mod 07 when they get it mounted. I am 5'10 , so would like it a tad closer than stock. I also have big legs, so it is hard getting into the car with stock wheel.

I think the Mod 07 dish is 2.75" inches. 2.75" spacer with the Prototipo? That might look odd, perhaps counterintuitive.

It's up to you. Try it out. I'm not aware of a spacer that large, only seen 15 to 20mm. Perhaps a chunky quick release.

My knees hit the stock wheel. A real surprise when you're turning in. I had a Monte Carlo (pretty much flat) so I put a 1 1/4" spacer on it. Worked great for me

Dlpalumbo,

Did it look funny? Did you really notice it when looking at it from the side?
