So I picked up a 964 and the decklid will not open. I've been through everything. Someone posted on my last thread about how to open it that you can up the wing.Yeaaaa well my 1989 doesn't have that button in the center console.
What I am hoping for is the ability to hook up a power probe to the wing and get on my way.
The 89's had a switch actually under the spoiler itself I think. Not sure exactly where it is as my car is a later one, but if you lift the engine lid and have a look underneath it you should see the switch.
AH, sorry - I thought you couldn't raise the spoiler.
So the engine lid won't open? Has the release cable snapped (and is slack) or do you think the lock has jammed? If you think that the cable is OK, have someone pull the release cable whilst also banging on the engine lid with the palm of your hand above where the lock would be to see if you can release the lock.
