964 is a historic car!
I talked to my State Farm rep and would like to stated value on my 964. They said that it has to be a special rare car to be considered a historic. I know that 1992 C2 production numbers were around 715 for the US.
They sent me this letter, anyone got anything else for me to help our cause? Thanks!
Btw I sent them the Rennlist link to the thread on production numbers.... We need more info on why this car is special enough to be considered historic.
Hi,
Our underwriter was unable to find anything to indicate that this model Porsche is of rare historic interest. Please email me the link, and or information that you have showing that your model was of limited production so I can forward that on to the underwriter for his review.
Thank you.

It might be easier to just change your carrier?
The 964's were the last hand built production cars from Porsche. It was also the last production of the iconic shape introduced in 1963. While production numbers were relativly low they were not low enough to be considered rare. From a economic perspective the value has been rising making it rational to protect from economic loss due to damage.

Translation....
State Farm does not want to insure your Pcar.
Luckily there are other good compaies that would love your buisness.
I have Hagarty on my '92. Agreed value.

Switch to a classic car insurance company like Grundy, Hagerty, Leland-West, etc... As long as you have a different daily driver car that is covered by another insurance company, they should accept your Porsche.
You will be much better off with a "agreed value" policy and the premium with be much lower than a regular insurance company.
I've been with Grundy for almost 20 years for all of my sports cars. Zero deductible, no mileage limitations, glass coverage, towing, etc... It's a great company to deal with.
