Your car is absolutely beautiful! I have the C2 version, also in guards red. Can't wait to see your post re the headlights. How long did it take to complete the project? If you had it to do over, would you farm the job out to a shop?

So I received tons of PM's inquiring about the headlights, honestly there's not much to it....I have done many retrofit's on my past cars and 964's are by far the simplest, BUT you'll need alot of patience aiming the cutoff.
Anything and eveything you need to know about HID retro's check out hidplanet.com
If you want the sharp cutoff like mine, you need to change the front lens to a clear lens. I got a set from ebay for $150
Parts needed:
Set of Projectors (Mine are FX-R)The key is the length of the projectors, the headlight "bowl" isnt that deep. My FX-R's barely made it.
Set of ballasts (Mine are Denso slim) If you want great results you'll have to spend the extra coin and get good ballasts.
Set of D2S bulbs (Stick with OSRAM or Phillips)
Set of Shrouds I choose Apollo 2
I got all my parts from the retrofit source, no affiliation at all. Its a one stop shop for HID's.
Here's how i mounted the projector. (This was the most efficient way, I tried atleast 5 before).
Then I made a fiberglass shroud to cover up the area surrounding the projector , Initially it was silver and it made the car look buggeyed and I hated it so then I painted them black, I think now it looks much better. (Fiberglass shoud DIY's are on hidplanet.com)
Here's after painting the shrouds black

and the clear lens fit under the original h5 ring? I have a set of clear lens but never be able to fit them right using original h5 ring. My retro fit is on halt at the moment.
