Default Help with shims

Ey all, looking for a bit of help so I don't waste money on something that's wrong. I'm running standard suspension and brakes on my c4. I also have cup 1 wheels on the car again all standard stuff but I would like the wheels to come a bit closer to the arches without rubbing (can be bothered with rubbing) , the car itself is lowered a bit but not to a massive degree.

Any help would be appreciated with both front and back.

Cheers
David

How far out would you like to go?

Room for larger tires perhaps?

Not massively wide but some things that's a bit better than standard. Thought about bigger tyres but they are hardly used and would be a waste if I went and bought new ones.

Easiest way I find is to grab a tape measure and measure how much farther you want the wheel to sit out. From there just pick a brand of spacer and slap it on.

If you're extending them out quite far, be sure to get longer wheel studs. I believe at least 9 threads of engagement are required

Please give us some more info on the rim/tire sizes you are running now, that will make it a lot easier to recommend spacer width.
We need rim width and ET.
