George, I think the mounting points are configured differently. It can be done, I read a post last year, but can't find it. I believe the bracket for the 997 /991 seats bend downward whereas the seats brackets in the 964 are flat.

George - I bought a set and it can be mounted in two ways.. You can either slightly modify the rails as seen here, or simply purchase the Brey-Krause adapters. I have not mounted mine yet (waiting on custom fabric to recover the center section), but a gentleman who installed them in his 993 told me they will sit a little higher than the OEM seats. However, by removing the bottom cushions (held by velcro), he noticed that there is a second set of mounting holes for the bracket. He simply drilled them out and was able to lower the seating position.

BTW, IMO they are the most comfortable seats Porsche has made. I love the fit.
