Good idea but Nick's coming down tomorrow with a trailer and he'll plug it into his Bosch Hammer to see what faults there are.

Yeah I've read a few threads with similar symptoms that were AFM wiring related, there's a TSB infact, why it would go haywire while sat on my drive doing nothing is a puzzle though.

Go to get the airbox off to reach the connector I think - bit rainy today.

Also worth noting that VEMS cannot see if AFM is ok or nok, for obvious reasons. Though if someone really-really wants, it can be set to take load 0-5v signal from the original AFM

Call from Nick this afternoon, good news, just a hose the had popped off apparently meaning the air wasn't gping through the afm. Sounds like they are picking up a car from down this way tomorrow night so might be able drop it back very quickly. Good service!
