3. While I'm checking/adjusting valves, I want to check the head nut torque. Anyone know what value to use? I reused the original steel studs and used the 90 degree torque angle method. I have no idea how that translates into ft-lbs.
Hi Michael, all these years adjusting valves on all kinds of engines and it turned out that my "feel" for the flat 6 wasn't great. I spent more time on it during my last valve adjust and found all of them to be somewhat to very loose. It quieted down a lot after that, but still makes some sewing machine noise.
