Coding Plug Question
I am using the oe US '95 DME w/ a Wong chip(a later version of the one I sent to you), the engine is a '97 RoW vram w/o SAI, The wire that used to run the SAI pump is used for one of the manifold switches on the RoW vram. It throws a SAI code on cold starts because there is no pump. I believe that if I isolate the chassis ground at that point it will be using the correct RoW instruction set and not throw the code. pin 54 on the DME is grounded through a 2 pin connection on US engines but not on RoW and the circled connection seems to fit the description.
I'm in the processing of diagnosing a high idle on my 993 RS. All intake leaks have been resolved but upon scanning, the DME is showing all coding correct except the transmission, which is appearing as a Tiptronic. The car is all original and the DME has never been touched before. I imagine there might be a grounding issue re: pin 44/coding plug. I'm having trouble finding the coding plug location. Any tips?
