Default FS: 911Chips 964 Chip by Steve Wong - SOLD!!!

I have for sale one Steve Wong chip for 1989-1994 964. I ended up getting a custom chip burned by Steve after I'd done a bunch of mods to my engine so am selling the standard 964 Steve Wong chip that I'd gotten when I first got the car. If you don't know, Steve Wong is considered one of the best in the aftermarket chip business!

See the 911Chips website for more details. These list for $450, I'm asking $300. Paypal preferred.

Is it the SW chip with a cat bypass installed or with a cat installed?

Woops! It's the one for the stock 964 with the cat installed and for 91 Octane gas (default for United States). Thanks!

Hello, I truly don't mean to hijack, but this question is relevant and therefore I will ask it here: If I always fill up with 93 octane gas (in the US) should I be looking for a 93 octane chip? Or would a 91 chip still be recommended? What would be best for reliability purposes/ what would make the car run better?

My understanding is that the octane rating is just a way to quantify the fuel's ability to prevent detonation. Don't quote me, and for better answers check in with Steve, but a chip made with 91 Octane fuel in mind won't have issues with 91 and higher octane fuels. A chip made with 93 Octane fuel in mind is good for 93 and higher, but not advisable to be used with 91 Octane fuel or lower.

Hopefully others will chime in and either back up what I just said or chastise me for trying to be Mr. Smarty Pants.

FWIW, I have the SW 93 Octane chip.
Sometimes I am forced to use 92 Octane. I haven't noticed any pinging or other issues associated with too low an octane rating, although my car isn't pushed hard.

August, quick question. I checked Steve's website and it appears all his chips include the Lt Wt flywheel fix. I assume this chip does too. Not sure if he has always included the fix and am not sure how long you've owned the chip. Thanks.

The chip is sold!

Chris, the chip has the LWFW fix on it. Enjoy!
