Question Tire Size Checkup

I am considering trying some ultra high performance all season tires for a 93 C4 Coupe...could anyone comment on the following tires and sizes who may have a similar experience.

Continental ContiExtremeContact
225/45/17 Front
245/40/17 Rear

I know that the front are 20mm wider than OEM Specs. Will this size create a problem that anyone can see?

Thanks for your comments in advance!

The front tire size is okay, the rollout dimension will be close enough to the stock 205/50-17 that computer won't have any problems. However, for the rear you should be running a 255/40-17 in order to get to proper rollouts.

225's up front, as Rick said, should be fine. 255's is the normal size for the back, assuming the right wheel offset (around 52mm). In your owners handbook, it tells you that the difference in circumference between the tires is around 5%-6%, as I recall. As long as your tires are less than that, your ABS shouldn't mind.
