Porsche CR-1 inop
Ok, searched a lot and tried a lot. CR-1 in the car has no lights at all. Tried the key on for 24 hrs, held down the am/fm button, verified it's getting power, I have the radio code. What am I missing? Was it fiddled with to the point it's locked up? I thought it would at least have lights or say lock or some thing. Not like I really use it much but would like to. If I have to pull it to send it off for unlocking I'll just put in a new blaupunkt and throw this in a box. But don't really want too.

Just swapped out my CR-1. With power and no code there is still some backlighting and it says, "CODE" in the display.
Did you check the continuity of the ground (brown wire) ?
